Explore the world of animal chaplaincy with guest Reverend Sarah Bowen, an interfaith minister, interspecies educator, and advocate for exploited and endangered species. Whether we live in the city or the country, we intersect the animal world on a daily basis, and that intersection often poses challenges. Animal Chaplains extend care and help people with the emotional, spiritual and moral struggles associated with the animal world. In this episode we discuss the spiritual lives of animals, processing animal loss, memorializing deceased animals, finding spiritual solutions to pesky animal ‘problems’, and the courage it takes to deliberate ethics. Whether you are an animal guardian, activist, or simply someone seeking deeper spiritual connections, this episode will inspire you to view animals and their habitats in a new light. If you want to pursue further, Rev. Sarah’s Animal Chaplaincy program accepts and educates a new cohort annually.
